EMPTIES: Mascaras I’ve Used Up

IMG_0385.JPG

It is hard to believe, but I have just one tube of mascara in my vanity. I have been on a mission to use up all of my mascaras before buying any new ones. I only like to have one tube of mascara open at a time, and I use that mascara for 2-3 months, toss it, and then move onto the next one. I had a bunch of sample size mascaras that I used up, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all what I thought of them.

Dior Diorshow Mascara – this mascara is amazing. It is REALLY black, and gives great volume and length. I really like the brush on this too. I would repurchase this.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express Mascara – If you have been reading my blog for a long time, you will know that I am obsessed with this mascara. It is the best mascara out there (high end or drugstore) in my opinion. Read my rave review here. It gives volume, length, and it doesn’t smudge. It’s easy to remove and is really black. Love it. I will definitely repurchase.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – this is a great mascara. I love the big fluffy wand also. It is almost too big to get the bottom lashes! It is super black, doesn’t flake, and gives great volume and length. I would repurchase.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara – I bought this because I like mascaras with really big wands, and sometimes it is hard to get the bottom lashes with a big wand. I really like this, it has a teeny little brush that makes it so easy to get those little lashes. It doesn’t smudge or flake throughout the day either. I would repurchase this one for sure.

Maybelline PUMPED UP Colossal Volum Express Mascara – this mascara is really natural looking. It gives a ton of length, but no volume whatsoever. It totally just takes the curl right out of my lashes. I like the look of really thick, false lashes, so this mascara just wasn’t for me. It just didn’t do enough for me. I wouldn’t repurchase this one. I have a full review on it here if you would like to read it.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – I love this mascara! It is probably the blackest of the black, and it really makes your lashes look great! It gives great volume and length, and has a really soft bristle brush. The only thing I didn’t like about this mascara is that it is a super wet formula, so everytime I would apply it, the mascara would get on my face! It would flick off of the brush onto my eyelid, or below my eye, and it was really annoying to have to keep cleaning off. I don’t think I would repurchase this one just because of that.

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara – every time I place an order at MAC, they send me this mascara sample, and every time I try it, and then I remember how much I don’t like it. It is so clumpy, and it takes forever to put on, just because I am trying to get all of the clumps out! It also smudges so bad on my bottom lash line. I would not purchase this mascara.

Pur Minerals Big Look Waterproof Mascara – I loved this mascara. I believe I got this in an IPSY bag. I was so excited to try it because the bottle is so pretty, and the brush is big. I really like how it applies and looks on the lashes. But, I could not get this stuff off of my lashes. I do not buy waterproof mascara, but I do have lots of eye makeup removers that usually work on waterproof mascara. Well, not this one. I scrubbed and scrubbed to get this stuff off. It wouldn’t budge. The next morning it was all over my pillow, and I still couldn’t remove the rest of it from my lashes. This stuff was just tooooo waterproof! I would not purchase!

Have you tried any of these mascaras? What’s your favorite mascara?

Thanks for reading! xx
