Concealing my dark circles has always been a bit of a challenge for me. After trying numerous products, I have found some things that are working great! There are three steps that I do when concealing my circles, and this routine lasts all day and doesn’t crease!
Step 1 : CORRECT.
I like to correct the blue tones underneath my eyes with a peachy-pink toned corrector. This one is really good from Pixi, it is their Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach. This has a cream consistency, but doesn’t feel cakey on my skin. I also love the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser Concealer in Brightener for this step. I am using a Crown Concealer Brush to gently pat the product underneath my eyes. Any flat brush like this will work; you can even use a shadow brush. I am careful to only put this on the parts of skin that are discolored. This will correct the color and you’ll be ready for concealer!
I then take a concealer that is more of a liquid consistency for underneath the eyes, today I am using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair. This is a lightweight concealer that covers up the peach and brightens up my undereyes. I like to use a concealer a couple of shades lighter for underneath my eyes for a nice bright effect. I use my fingers to gently blend with patting motions.
Ok, so the last thing I like to do is to make sure that this makeup isn’t going to go anywhere! I like to use a loose translucent powder, like this Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to set my makeup. This powder is super finely milled and you only need a tiny bit. It has light reflecting particles in it that help with brightening. I like to use my Real Techniques Setting Brush to sweep it on lightly. Any small fluffy brush will work. Using a powder to set will help with creasing, and will also help it to last all day. I also like the NARS Light Reflecting Powder in Translucent Crystal for this step. For a drugstore option, the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent works great, too!
And there you have it! A nice, bright undereye 🙂
